What role will you play?

We’re hiring a Sales Development Representative /Sr. Sales Leader who will build a qualified pipeline through research-driven, account-based outreach and relationship development. This role is not a high-volume cold-calling role — it’s focused on targeted, data-led engagement using modern sales intelligence to find and qualify the right opportunities across a mix of vendor ecosystems and HR tech buyers.

What you’ll do:
• Generate qualified pipeline via account-based outreach (email, LinkedIn, targeted calls) and intent-driven follow-up.
• Use ZoomInfo extensively (advanced proficiency required) for sales development, account research, contact mapping and prospect verification.
• Pursue cadence-driven follow up and qualification.
• Responsible for chasing and converting from targeted campaigns aimed at vendor sales reps and HR decision-makers.
• Multi-thread into accounts: engage HCM software vendor sales reps, CSMs, and AMs.
• Qualify opportunities and hand off clean, contextualized leads to Account Managers.
• Capture and maintain accurate activity, notes and lead status in CRM.

Example day to day:
• Manage your calendar to focus on hot leads, ZoomInfo intent, and qualification.
• Virtually meeting with customers (2-3/day) in order to nurture relationships with vendor sales reps and stakeholders and following up on campaign leads.

Why this isn’t a traditional cold-call role:
• Our services are niche and time-sensitive. Success comes from targeted, researched outreach, building relationships with vendor reps and CSMs, and acting on high-intent signals — not mass blasting. You’ll spend time refining campaigns, using AI/sales tools effectively, and qualifying leads that convert to meaningful implementation engagements.

Required Skills & Experience

• B2B sales, business development, recruitment sales, SDR/BDR, or related experience.
• Hands-on ZoomInfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator experience.
• Comfortable engaging vendor sales reps as sources of market intelligence.
• Strong written communication and outbound sequencing skills; ability to craft persona-focused messaging.
• Organized, self-directed, coachable, and data-driven; comfortable in a test-and-learn environment.
• Ability to see the bigger picture that the sales role plays within the wider consulting environment.
• Key point of contact for all new outreach sales, someone excited to develop a sales strategy that can scale with room to grow and mentor a team.
• A self-starter who can work autonomously to drive sales strategy and shape the future of sales at ROCKCREST.
• Local to Boulder area; able to work from the office at least two days per week (Monday and Thursday) to learn services and collaborate in person.

Nice-to-haves:
• Background in selling professional services to HR departments or HR leadership (HCM Software vendors, HR technology software, employee insurance brokers, PEO, staffing)
• Familiarity selling into companies with 150–5,000 employees (or similar mid-market complexity).
• Knowledge of HR Projects and terminology such as HRIS implementation or migration, benefits vendor transitions, HR compliance, open enrollment, payroll system changes, workforce management, and talent development.

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting base pay of $70-80K + commission (1st year $110-130K OTE)
