We are looking for a DevOps Consultant to work on a full-time , remote consulting assignment. This is a 6 month consulting assignment with the option to extend to 12 months. Key skills our client is looking for includes:

Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Expertise in tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, and GitHub Actions to automate the software release process.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet to manage and provision infrastructure through code.

Containerization and Orchestration: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms to manage microservices and containerized applications.

Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of major cloud service providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including how to leverage their services for optimal scalability and efficiency.

Scripting and Programming: Skills in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell, and sometimes programming languages like Go or Java, to write automation scripts and integrate various systems.

Monitoring and Logging: Familiarity with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), or Splunk to monitor and analyze system performance and troubleshoot issues.

Security Practices: Understanding of security principles and technologies to ensure safe deployment strategies, including knowledge of secure coding practices, vulnerability assessment, and using tools like SonarQube.

Networking and Security: Basic networking knowledge is essential, including understanding network configurations, load balancing, and network security measures.

Version Control Systems: Proficiency in systems like Git for source code management.

Agile and DevOps Practices: Understanding of Agile methodologies and the principles of DevOps practices to improve collaboration between development and operations teams.
